BazaarOn.ai ("BazaarOn", "we", "us") operates an AI-assisted marketplace that helps you shop international and Indian groceries from local stores, by searching, building a cart, placing orders, and tracking them, including through AI assistants such as ChatGPT. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account information: the email and password you use to create a shopper account, and optional profile details such as your name and phone number.
- Order and fulfillment information: the items you add to a cart, orders you place, delivery or pickup preference, and any delivery address you provide.
- AI assistant connections: if you connect an AI assistant (for example, by linking BazaarOn to ChatGPT), we record that the connection exists and associate the actions it takes, searches, carts, and orders, with your account.
- Technical information: basic request data such as IP address and timestamps, used for security, abuse prevention, and reliability.
How we use your information
- To provide the service: search the catalog, build carts, place and track orders.
- To route orders to the local store fulfilling them and to support pickup or delivery.
- To let a connected AI assistant shop and place orders on your behalf, with orders bound to your account and your saved details prefilled.
- To provide customer support, secure the service, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run the service:
- Local stores / retailers: the order details needed to prepare and fulfill your order (such as items, name, and contact or address for delivery).
- Payment processing: payments are handled by Stripe; card details are processed by Stripe, not stored by BazaarOn.
- AI providers: to power features such as natural-language search and planning, relevant request content may be processed by our AI provider.
- AI assistants you connect: when you link an assistant such as ChatGPT, it receives the information needed to show results and place orders for you. Your use of that assistant is also governed by its own provider's privacy policy.
- Legal and safety: when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the service.
Connecting and disconnecting an AI assistant
Linking an AI assistant uses a standard OAuth authorization that you explicitly approve. Access is limited to the permissions you grant (shopping on your behalf). You can revoke access at any time from the connected assistant (for example, by removing the BazaarOn connector in ChatGPT), which invalidates its access going forward.
Data retention
We keep account and order information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, and meet legal and accounting requirements. You can ask us to delete your account and associated personal information, subject to records we must retain by law.
Your choices and rights
You can access or update your profile in your account, disconnect any linked AI assistant, and request deletion of your account. To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected]. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and hashed passwords. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and limit access to it.
Children
BazaarOn is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
